Personal safety, as a basic human need, is encapsulated globally in national legislation and international accords, all with the aim of maintaining public order and safety. While definitions of law and order may vary by country—and with it the tasks assigned to security forces—the source of funding is nearly universally taxpayers. July 26, 2012 US is witnessing a decrease in crimes over last few years including the crimes involving guns and firarms, though in last few months there have been a couple of events making it to the front pages. Some interesting facts - California being the state with largest population also witnesses the maximum murders, robberies, assaults and murders involving firearms; and District of Colombia has the highest Firearms murders per 100,000 population.
