National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC)

The National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) is the body that promotes and defends the proper functioning of all markets in the interests of consumers and companies. It is a public body with its own legal personality. It is independent of the Government and is subject to parliamentary control. It became operational on October 7, 2013.
